Truly Originals hats are designed and constructed for serious theatrical and reenactment use. Each hat is unique, made one at a time using traditional millinery techniques, by a true artisan. Truly Carmichael is an award-winning professional costumer and milliner who holds an MFA (Master of Fine Arts) degree in theatrical costume construction and millinery.The hats available on these pages are inspired by the shapes found in Western European portraits, woodcuts, and extant hats from the late 16th Century.
